The pianist second voice and one of the composers throughout Txarango's career begins a new stage with which he transitions towards pop and other styles that he had not touched until now but that lovers of proposals so remote and time as close as Jorge Drexler Bon Iver Sufjan Stevens Vicente Garcia Mumford and Sons The Lumineers Beirut Pedro Aznar In this new facet Sergi Carbonell offers us "Refugi" an album produced recorded and mixed throughout 2022 where each song is a small refuge a meeting space a comfort zone A universe as eclectic as its creator who in this new adventure has been accompanied and has allowed himself to be accompanied by various producers and musicians A handmade and shared recording Sergi Carbonell himself was in charge of the production with prominent names such as Dani López Arnau Figueres -musician of Stay Homas- Joan Borràs -musician and co-producer of Oques Grasses- and Joan Palà -musician of Txarango and Stay Homas- The mixes have been carried out by Joan Borràs Ivan López Arnau Figueres Panxii Badii and Marc Usano As for the recording some fragments have been recorded at Carbonell's home and others at the La Coctelera El Magatzem and Wasabi studios as well as at the home of some of the producers and at the Txarango venue
