After more than 15 years of touring through Spain Ronald Baker and the Catalan Collective finally found the missing link to their project Blau Records Thanks to Fernando they were finally able to bring this project to life Four friends in one room in one day recorded this cd with a desire to send out good musical vibes as they do in concert Each tune was chosen to showcase the group´s love for swing blues and Latin styles With this exceptional rhythm section tunes like Tangerine and Misty put both the trumpet and the vocals in the spotlight and tunes such as One Note Samba and Samba not sway you in Latin rhythms Ronald also chose to play and sing his signature blues on this record that reminds us of the origins of jazz And last but not least Ronald has been recognized throughout his career for sentimental interpretations of ballads Some say crooner but we hear the balladeer on the trumpet as well Either way it´s all about the swing We sincerely hope that you will enjoy this music Recorded on 3rd March 2022 in Auditori i Palau de Congressos Castelló (Spain)
