Artfully vol II ”comes to complete the edition of the original Artfully a work presented by The European Jazz Piano Trio in 2011 and which is now reissued by Blau Records This trio formed by Bill Charlap (piano) Stephen Keogh (drums) and Mark Hodgson (double bass) made a select recording of their performances at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in London distributed in this new edition in the two volumes of Artfully Scott Hamilton in charge of the official review of the album describes them as “the kind of trio that one often dreams of encountering They play with a great and wide sense of swing and they are excellent soloists It is a pleasure to listen to these musicians and write about their performances ” The selection includes tracks by excellent musicians / composers (including Charlap himself) and a couple of standards
