UNA, cordes i veu are five. Five women with their stringed instruments and a voice telling stories. They come from Barcelona, Madrid, Argentina and France ... and they go where it's needed! They are part of groups such as Coetus or Carles Dénia and Nova Rimaire and the five have coincided in Cordes del Món. They are curious and that is why they do jazz, flamenco, tango, classical music, root music and pop rock. On an individual level, they have made numerous recordings and collaborations with different artists and formations such as Guillermo Klein, Gorka Benítez, Joan Manuel Serrat, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Virus String Quintet, OBC, Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Orquestra Simfónica del Vallès, Carnegie Mellon Philarmonic of Pittsburgh, Sabor de Gràcia, Mishima, Facto Delafe and Dorian among others. In their concerts they propose a journey through Latin American popular and contemporary music, always played by a string quartet and a voice. The arrangements are what give personality to the sound of this group and build a bridge between tradition and new musical forms, very personal. Some are the fruit of their creative process, but they are also fortunate to have arrangements of great friends and musicians such as Julio Santillán, Guillermo Klein, Manu Estoa or Mar Serra. Apart from some of their own songs, in their repertoire and on the CD that we are proposing today, there are songs by Raúl Carnota, Martín Ábalos, Juan Falú, Chico Buarque and Ariel Ramírez.
