Catalan Pianist Thomas Fosch recently arrived from USA releases his new album “Maso”. This new release comes from a long stay in the United States, and aims to capture the diverse musical influences that portraits this country. Within the music scene in Texas (Dallas / Fort Worth area) one can find straight ahead jazz or the newest hip-hop and R & B. This mixture results in a rich music scene which many musicians get involved and influenced.
“Maso” is a sextet album, recorded with american musicians in Panhandle Studios. Studio where great musicians have recorded there such as Norah Jones or Snarky Puppy. The album is made of original songs in contemporary jazz-influenced R & B or hip-hop beats. We also find arrangements of standards of "The Great American Songbook" from the original scores of Musicals / films, as well as a version of Radiohead or Thelonious Monk.
“Maso” features the great catalan saxophonist Gianni Gagliardi based in NYC, which is a benchmark of the current jazz scene in NYC.
