The Senegalese composer established in Lleida (Catalonia, Spain) returns through the front door with a new album titled "CII Biti (Fora)". This album, produced by Víctor Ayuso (Renaldo & Clara), takes us on a journey from Africa to Europe, a sound journey where synthesizer electronics are mixed with traditional rhythms.
Alu Spear's songs relate the hardness of this journey, but also human strength and adaptability. Any occasion is good to become a mbalax party. Alu Spear sings to us in her native language, Wolof, in French and Catalan, crossing borders with the power of songs. And it is that music, like the polar star, 'elle brille pour tout le monde'.
Alu Spear: voice and guitar; Víctor Ayuso: bass, guitar, synthesizers and programming; Eduard Gomis: djembé, shekere and shaker.
