Nazarene artist Manuel Lombo presents his latest album under the title 'Rocío, cien por cien'
'Rocío, one hundred percent' is a double CD made up of a total of one hundred sevillanas, one for each year from the Coronation of the Virgen del Rocío to the present day.
The artist wanted to bring the traditional Sevillanas closer with a tribute to the Virgin on the occasion of the centenary of her Coronation, a compendium of ninety-two different classics, completed by eight unpublished; four composed by Feliciano Pérez-Vera and another four by Lombo.
During the presentation of the album on April 29, the artist himself explained that with this album his only intention has been to make a testimony, "the main idea was to record the Sevillanas as I understand them, there are only eight unpublished Sevillanas and the rest they are 92 different sticks from each other ”. The singer wanted to detail the content of the album produced by José Miguel Évora: “a work that presents a great orchestration, more than half of the album is something similar to a sevillian symphony; and the other part, somewhat more naked musically speaking, transports to very specific moments of El Rocío, of Triana, of Seville itself ... it has many colors.
In addition, it has the collaboration of many invited artists such as Pedro El Granaíno, Argentina, the guitar of Rafael Riqueni, La Cava, José Luis Pérez Vera, Macarena de la Torre, the members of the Pilgrim Choir of Puente Genil, Papá Levante or Andrés Barrios with the piano.
