The challenge that such a project implies has been, above all, my possible growth in two ways: the perception of a meticulous endeavor for each of the works, affording them their own personality, i.e., a crafted art work, slow and on-going over time and, on the other hand, the vision of the whole and the consciousness represented in the totality of the pianistic corpus by the two composers: A kind of angular and perspective view where the most relevant interpretative elements that are given throughout the works are valued and that, consciously or unconsciously, represent constant leitmotives that mark the personality of the two authors.
Finally, I would like to thank both composers for the dedication and patience that the two have shown all the time to solve all kinds of issues related to performance, focus, the internal image of the pieces, etc. This CD is the way to show my deepest gratitude to these extraordinary composers. The big repertoires allow one to grow up as a performer, and these works are definitely a high level repertoire.
